Hey my name is Charlene but I often get called Charlie for short (among other nick names)! I am fairly new to the blogging world and not at all tech savvy but with a little help from my family members and encouragement from my friends, here I am! So a very big thank you for visiting my blog!
Let me introduce myself: I’m originally a self employed beauty therapist, with my own mobile beauty business, covering all treatments such as nails, waxing, eyelash extensions and such like. My day job is to visit my clients all in the comfort of their own homes and carry out their choice of treatment, covering the whole of Edinburgh and the Lothians. I have loved my job and the flexibility it gives me to explore other areas of interest, hence why I can manage to keep up with a blog too, however this could all be changing shortly as I have plans to open a spa and wellbeing centre here in Edinburgh. From here I can accomplish my purpose in helping others feel good on the inside and on the outside by putting all my current skills to good use while developing new ones along the way. If you want to know more about the beauty services I currently offer, simply follow this link: www.charlenemobiletherapy.com. But to keep up to date with spa plans, email me with an “I’m in” and I’ll add you to our contact list.
Another interest I have managed to follow my whole life is dance. I’ve been dancing since I was six years old, training in tap, flamenco and gymnastics, performing in pantomimes alongside John Lesley and Grant Stott and competing in national competitions in disco and jive styles. My dance partner and I went on to become Scottish champions, winning many medals and trophies right up until we were around twelve years old – Maybe I’ll show you my collection one day. I completed my professional dance training in ballet, jazz and contemporary back in 2008 at Edinburgh’s Telford college, only to experience a small amount of teaching after I qualified as my Beauty business took flight and became the money earner. I was training in Latin and ballroom styles up until recently and I dearly miss it so I am on the look out for a new partner! The Cha Cha has to be my all time favourite! Performing and competing were both thrilling experiences I’ll never forget and may one day return to.
The year 2015 was probably the most life changing for me thus far. I turned 30 in the March, had a spiritual awakening and got rid of all the draining habits and routines I had in my life and replaced them with people, hobbies and events that made me feel good and happy. I began to think more deeply about life, myself, my desires and what I was capable of. I faced many of my fears and continue to do so now. I realised how precious life actually is and that many of us take it for granted. I refuse to take the life of any creature, including spiders which I once feared. I have gained a love for nature and the equality of all the worlds earthlings. I learned how important I am and what’s important to me and about the greater good of all, and that is to continually strive to be a better version of myself daily and love myself along with everyone else. We should all be pushing ourselves to be better, kinder, healthier, less judgmental, more loving, happier – whatever it is. To do our best at all times because despite where we have come from we are all special and we all matter and we only get to live this life once. So, for me this blog is about expression. I’ll be talking about all the beautiful things that bring joy, techniques and guides on how to be a happier and a more achieving individual and all things many people categorize as supernatural – I call it spirituality. I’m hoping to inspire you and awaken you to the beauty that is life and to live with love. There will always be more to learn. As my study continues I aim to share with all my readers the knowledge I gain. The purpose is to bring more of the world into awareness and fully conscious.
My study, research and my own experiences in working with universal law and the law of attraction have aloud me to expand business these last few months and I’m now able to help others where applicable in changing their lives for the better. After publishing ‘The best way to get things done is to simply begin‘ I realised how helpful it has been to others. This has led me to working more closely with individuals who need a little assistance or support with the development of their life, be it in love, business or simply their personal goals. Perhaps you want to discover our lifes purpose? Knowing that I’m improving the lives of others is such a rewarding thing to do, I wish I had started doing this years ago. I’m on the road to making this world a better place and it feels epic!
Thanks for stopping by and getting to know me a little better. I’m sure there will be much more to see in the coming posts so please stay tuned.
